One of the nice things about iOS is the Autobot-like, shape-shifting shenanigans it does when on a tablet. Unlike Android, who’s dismal support for tablets is as elaborate as stretched out apps, iOS actually changes its features to fit the larger screen. One of these features makes use of the physically larger keyboard keys displayed on the screen, specifically the numerical keys.

Notice the secondary character, there is an easy way to trigger those!
Numerical Input With The Flick Of Your Finger
Traditionally, you would have to go down to the numerical button in the bottom left, but with iOS 11, you no longer have to do so!
Go ahead and switch to Notes App and go to start typing something. Pick any key with a grey secondary function; now, just pause and swipe down SLOWLY. (Just to catch the animation, for now, you can do it super fast later on)
See that change? The grey character should pull down and become dominant… just release and you’ve typed the secondary function!
I’m sure some glorious bastard did this already with a 3rd party keyboard, but regardless, this is such an awesome time saver!
Once you get the hang of it, the little flick of the finger will become second nature and your typing will have really improved on the iPad!
