Canadians seemingly flipped their collective toques this week over COVID-19 and have been stripping shelves bare of toilet paper, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer!
Hoarding supplies means those who may not have the means to hoard, go without, STOP!
COVID-19 – How The Stem Is Responding
The Stem is a family owned, small business… most likely the very last to receive anything from the government economic support systems, so we are here, in the trenches! We have no choice but to keep the doors open, and we plan on doing so in the cleanest, most sanitary ways possible. Our intent is to help people as much as we can over the next while as we try and lessen the impact of this virus.
It will now be procedure for us to sanitize each and every device that comes in for service immediately. It will then be sanitized before being handed back to the customer. We have a supply of Clorox Disinfectant Wipes that will be used as suggested by Apples most recent update on sanitizing your Apple device.
We will also offering this sanitization procedure as a walk in service for free. If you happen to be passing by, come on in and we’ll clean your device for you. Anything we can do to prevent the potential spread of C-19 will help flatten the curve.
Be Safe, But Don’t Forget Local Businesses
As a small business, this has been a concerning time, not because of the virus directly, but simply because our traffic has been decimated. Though we would love to be in a position where we can ride it out, the economic realties of Alberta have made this situation an extra hard kick in the balls to be frank.
All we can do is ask for your support; please don’t be a stranger, continue to come in to have your devices repaired. We have seen so many business impacted, people laid off, and small business have to shutter because of just two weeks of panic, it’s a frighting reality check.
We are now finally seeing China start rolling again, and thanks to some smart fellow Canuks, we are on a road to a vaccine. The truth is if we panic, more people will go bankrupt then die of this virus. Let’s be safe, but work together to support each other.
