Hidden iPhone Feature A Real Life Saver
No really.. in this case it may have indeed saved a life.
The lucky bugger who brought this in told me the tale… he was helping a buddy clean up an old farm he had recently invested in. They were lifting garbage out of the ice, and he gave a good hank, and slipped.
Below, and pointed right at his tuches was a very nasty peice of sharp and rusty iron undoubtedly writhing with clostridium tetani.
Like a microprocessor filled superhero, the iPhone in his back pocket intercepted the poker and with a sickening CRUNCH, absorbed the impact!
Not Recommended Storage Location Good Decision
The Stem highly recommends against keeping your phone in your back pocket for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is breakage should you fall on your butt… in this case.. it prevented our client from being impaled right in the left buttock.
The iPhone absorbed an impressive amount of energy, and as you can see from the photos, it suffered very little damage. The impact point from sharp enough to push through the back. pimple the battery and shatter the LCD from behind.
We installed a new screen, a new battery for safety sake, and pounded out the dent in the back. The cosmetic damage is a nice reminder of what his iPhone did for him.
Perhaps a modern Bible taking a bullet eh?
