Quick Notes With Control Center – Pro Tips

As much as I love Siri, perhaps I don’t want to let the public know my brilliant new idea for canned salmon fin tips… perhaps instead I could use access to quick notes on my phone.. and with my memory, I may have forgotten that special sauce ingredients I just came up with by the time I get into my phone, find the notes app, start a new note, ect…

Also, Neuralyzers don’t affect notes..so there’s that.

Quick Notes Are Easy To Access & Set Up

You access the quick notes function through the new Control Center, along with many other wonderful little widgets! Customization is incredible as well, so let’s have a look! To enable this feature, head to your settings App. Go to Settings –> Control Center –> Customize Controls. You should see a list of available widgets and its simple as tapping the plus icon to add that widget to your control center. In this case, we are going to tap on Notes to enable it if it isn’t already. You should now be able to swipe from the top of your screen to show the control center and see the notes icon!

Quick Notes control

Once you have it enabled, it’s time to dive into the customization of control. Back to Settings –> Notes –> (scroll to bottom) Access From Lock Screen.

You are going to be presented with three options, Off, Always Create New Note, and Resume Last Note. These are pretty self explanatory, but the last option leads to a plethora of further options, check this out!

Quick Notes options

With those options, you could effectively have a dedicated Control Centre Note that you use for quick jotting down of random thoughts. You can further make it so that it creates a new note after a certain amount of time, which can be very effective in organizing your thoughts!

iOS Is Great For Getting Ideas Down

The multiple options for getting a new note, or adding to an existing note in iOS make it incredibly easy and fast to get your ideas down. Don’t forget, Siri can make a new note simply by asking her! You can tell her, “Create a new note called “Vacation”. You could also jot down a quick one with her by saying something like “Hey Siri, note that I need less grouper in my fish fin product”.

You can also ask her to update notes by stating the title of it then the change, “Hey Siri, update my Fish Fin note.”, she’ll then ask what you want to add. Just never forget about prying ears, that quick notes feature you just enabled could be the only thing between you and those fishy millions!
